Make Facebook event visible to public

I've created a Facebook event, and I'd like people who don't have a Facebook account to be able to see the event discussion page. Not post, but just see the discussion.

When I send a link, users can see the event, but don't have the option to see the discussion. Other events I've seen have a "Join Event" button that lets me see the posts when I'm offline, but my event doesn't have this button.

What am I missing?
