Germs are fun.

My roomate will put the lid back on the blender immediately after using/washing it, so all the moisture gets to build up. Open the lid and it stinks. Doesn't matter if it's "clean" or not.

I've always thought washing dishes with a sponge was pretty gross too. They just absorb all the crap....I had a roomate that would piss me off, he'd use the same sponge used for dishes to wipe down the counter tops.

It's ok Heeven, Kicky works at a gay sex toy store, his co-workers don't mind when he pulls out the "angry inch."

To keep your sponges clean, before using to wash dishes make it wet and pop in microwave for 1 minute (careful, it's hot!) All the germies are gone and you can reuse the sponge!

Now kitchen sponges are something I won't let anywhere near food. Saw an Oprah (probably the only entire episode I've ever watched) on kitchen germs. Sponges in my kitchen are only used on the floor and thrown out each week. Tea towels go into the laundry every night. I'll sometimes use J-Cloths on the dishes - but they're generally single use only for me (thank goodness for the $$ store).

But take me outside and I'll put food down on the grass ...

I'm going to use my sponge to clean the toilet and then mail it to Slappys roommate so he can wash the dishes with it.

you can also put your sponge in the dish washer once a week and it does the same thing bella.

It's hotter than hell in a minute. That's what I was told. Perhaps 1 1/2 minutes if you want to?

Breakroom lunch tables are notoriously filthy. Just think of all the unhealthy bacteria contaminating your body as you stuff yourself with Oreos and Tang, right before your cigarette break.

My mother used to use those semi-disposable towels.... but she never disposed of them and they'd start to reek. <cringe.....shudder>. I throw the sponges in the dishwasher everytime I run a load which is about twice a week. I find the microwave method sort of cooks the sponge.

I have no sponge and use disposable kitchen towles only.
When I need to prewash a plate, I'll use my hands and
then put it in the dishwasher.

I also have Lysol Towelettes to desinfect and clean the
counter (one time use of course). Actually I have these
Lysol Towelettes in the bathrooms as well to frequently
wipe down the toilet seat.

In the office, I clean my phone receiver every Monday
with Lysol.
