England 2-1 Denmark.

England are through to their first major final in 55 years.

The country is going mental.

Italy on Sunday.

@Mame,
Inhuman. You know what should be done with the perpetrator(s)? I have the rope and the weights.

Crepes , they could’ve just given the dog up to the Humane Society if they didn’t want it.

@izzythepush,
We enjoyed both the Italy-Spain match and this one, too. I’ve a close friend who’s a naturalized citizen from Italy who has me hooked. Needless to say we’re rooting for Italy; however, England is playing quite well.

@Ragman,
Have a heart.

We haven’t won a major tournament since 1966.

@Ragman,
Having said that, we’ve not won a semi final since 1966, nor beaten Germany inthe knockout stages until now.

Got dust from the Sahara due here tomorrow. Some years it gets thick, some not.

@edgarblythe,
The Houston-area needs to import dust? Pretty ritzy, if you ask me.

How do they know it’s from the Sahara? Does it have a big ‘S’ written on it? That way you’d know for sure. Of course if it came from Saudi Arabia, it’d have ‘SA’ on it.

@Ragman,
All I know they show these pictures crossing the gulf and tell us what it is. Other times we get smoke from south or central American fires.

The local news recites a litany of shootings and hit and runs at the top of every newscast. Here is one from last night:
3 injured in shooting after argument over who ran faster, police say

@edgarblythe,
That's about as stupid as this one:

Norway have been fined 1,500 euros (£1,295) for wearing shorts instead of bikini bottoms at the European Beach Handball Championships.

Shorts not sexy enough?

Or this one:

Israel will ‘act aggressively’ over Ben & Jerry’s ban, PM says

Seriously? Over ice cream?

@Mame,
Ben and Jerry's better give them the ice cream. Israel has nuclear weapons and a worldwide network of agents.

LOL Can't they make their own damn ice cream?! I mean, seriously, threatening an ice cream company?

Last night a guy forced an ambulance to stop. At gunpoint he made the two up front get out. Then he took off with an EMT and a patient in the back. The cops got him a little later, still high as a kite.

If you like coffee, you might want to stock up or invest:

Plus, buy your beef now... Here in Canada, ranchers are auctioning off their cattle because the land (and therefore feed) is scorched... and in some parts of the US, there's not enough water to feed the cattle... much less the land, so the cost of beef will be going up.
