Not wanting to sound like a big bully boy, but you should try not to post the same brain teaser three times in different forums. It just confuses people!
Re: brain teaser, please help

I'd guess you're either at the north or south pole?
North Pole is one possible answer. I don't know about the South Pole, you'd have to travel "10 miles south" when you're already at the southernmost point. It that's an answer, then you'd have to consider any point 10 miles away from the South Pole an answer as well.
There are an infinite number of solutions slightly more than 10 miles north of the south pole.
Starting at point A, you travel 10 miles south ending up near, but not at, the south pole (point B). You then make an integer number of trips around the pole and come back to point B. Ten mile north bring you back to point A.
well, it's quite simple. I think there are 2 choices: either you start at the north pole or 10 miles away from south pole. Because when you're at south pole, you cannot go west. So if it is possible, you just have to walk 10 miles in a small circle at the south pole XD tough I guess that would be quite boring. Anyway, then you head back to north so to the point where you came from... So technically there are actually ALOT of choices because there are many spots 10 miles away from south pole but I would only name the main 2 ones
Ten miles from the south pole is not a valid solution. As you pointed out, you can't move west from there. In fact, you can only move north.
what if you rotate counterclockise for a really long time
For the South pole replace walk ten miles south with walk ten miles NORTH.
That's a different problem with an infinite number of solutions near the north pole.
