North Pole and South Pole.

Whether it applies for (all of) Magnetic North/South, Grid North/South and True North/South, I don't know.

The south pole (as a point) isn't quite accurate. There are infinitely many solutions near it.

The answer can only be one point , and that is the "North Pole" . Note the first direction says "10 miles to the south". You can't travel South from the South pole itself. In what ever direction you go from the south pole, you end up moving northwards.

There are an infinite number of starting points near (greater than 10 miles north of) the south pole.

Can you explain it more clearly. I had a notion that south pole can be narrowed down to a single dot. If i am wrong, please explian this.

Yes, the south pole is a single point. That's why I said near the south pole. If you start a bit more than 10 miles north of the south pole and head south for 10 miles, you will be very close to the pole. You can choose your starting point such that you end up at a latitude with a circumference that is an integer fraction of 10 miles. Heading west for 10 miles will take you around the pole an integer number of times. Now head back north for 10 miles to the starting point.
