Do you know detective novels series where the main character is a woman? In French, there is Chrystine Brouillet with her character Maud Graham.

I just finished Old Bones, by Lincoln Child and Douglas Preston. The main characters are Nora Kelly, an archeologist, and Corrie Swanson, a FBI agent. Good book.

@Yalow,
Jamie Freveletti - her main character Emma Caldridge is brilliant.
"Running with the Devil" won best thriller award in 2010.

@hightor,
By Jacqueline Winspear I read Among the Mad, A Dangerous Place, and Journey to Munich. I liked those so much that I asked the city library to buy the first one of the series (Maisie Dobbs), and they accepted!

@Yalow,
I think the books you are referring to are the fictional 'books' written by the fictional 'writer', Jessica Fletcher, in fictional detective stories.

@Yalow,
The Flavia De Luce Mysteries is my favorite female (amateur) detective. So far, there are 10 books in that series.

@Yalow,
Richard Osman's book is very popular right now.

It might be just him.
