Cells at Work!

A very unique and educational anime ... to say the least, Cells at Work! (2018) could very well wind up being shown in high schools and college intro to biology classes across the US and beyond.

Our protagonist is a cute, bumbling, endearing nameless red blood cell who is referred to simply as Red Blood Cell. It's basically a workplace comedy where the interior of a single, nameless human being is the setting and the city where everything takes place.

Kind of fun. Pretty funny. Very smart.

Looking forward to the second season already in progress (starting this past January).

Now we have the bleak spinoff, Cells at Work! Code Black.
Same premise. Different protagonist and the different human body, that being someone in much worse health. A bloody cigarette smoker (amongst other potential vices).

Both are their own unique narrative experiences. Think Osmosis Jones but with much better character design and a greater emphasis on actual science.
