I'm looking for an anime where there is a little brother who's kinda protective of his older sister. They don't have to actually be related as long as they have a sibling-like relationship. No romance please!

The dynamic in Grave of the Fireflies (1988) is the opposite in which you are requesting: Big brother/little sister. I believe the search confused the IMDb Search Engine. Nothing else comes to mind.
