Why Didn't Trump try to protect His VP during the insurrection?

The World has dealt with a deadly pandemic, the US lost it's collective minds and elected a con man clown to our highest office. During the last 4 years we have bounced from outrage to embarrassment and rage and watched a scruffy bunch of white supremists attempt an insurrection to overturn the results of a valid presidential election.

Sadly some of our more brilliant and thoughtful members have passed on into another realm. Unfortunately there is not a long list of bright articulate people trying to replace then. More troubling in my opinion, is the number of men & women who left because they didn't wish to deal with or engage in conversations with the 'tormented malcontents' who never post anything but insults or demented nonsense from Qanon or Breightbart. After a while it becomes pointless to try to engage.

Because Trump is an egomaniacal narcissist. Even if you're one of his political lapdogs, he won't hesitate to throw you under the bus.
