You work? Try being retired...now that is true boredom.

Or at least another level of it.

I am just entering the working world.... I have a long time before I retire... At least 35 years I think... I am only 20.... You can retire at the age of 55 correct?

You mean I should have waited? Well there's another 2 years of retired boredom to tack on. Crying or Very sad

Actual retirement age varies according to what your job is and if there are any retirement packages/benefits etc.. I know some people who work 20 some 25 some 30 some just about forever some right into their 70's and 80's.

Start saving up your coins so you can make your escape...

I am the worst with saving money... I just paid off all my debt and now I have the opportunity to save but I always seem to put it off

Any suggestions or tips on how to save some money.... cuz I have nothing

If I knew I'd tell you!

Seriously, start off easy just put a handful of change away here and there and occasionally toss in a piece of paper money. What worked best for me was just keeping a list of what I was buying and then going into shock at the review of some of those items...no idea what I had bought them for. That eased some of my spending.

Set up an account at fidelity.com, have money taken electronically out of your account every month and put into a mutual fund. That way you won't even think about it. Even if it's just $50 a month. There's savings...and when you get a job that offers 401K, put a good percentage away.

My job does offer 401k... but I don't qualify until January... you have to be 21 in order to get it

January isn't that far off, so let them know of your interest in this matter and then when you hit 21 it'll be automatically part of your savings plan.

It seems like just yesterday I was 21 and now I have less than a decade to go to triple that number.

What has been the best age of your life?

My mom and aunt chose 30... my grandfather chose 17

Some time in my early 40's. That was about the time I came to a general peace within myself.

I think I am going through one of those times in my life when I am really growing up... This is the first holiday season where I have just stopped and looked around me... watching my family and how much they do for one another...

I don't know... it is interesting how i think so much differently than I used to and I know I am going to think that when I am 30 and looking back on 20...

It is one of the perks of life...getting to see things change and changing the reaction as our perspective about various things changes.

Stay away from those pills...life'll give you more than enough perks...that and a pot of coffee.

Good work!

I went through problems with alcohol and it was also a nightmare.

I was addicted to pills for 2 years... It was sad really now looking back at it.... I messed up my teenage years with all that stupid stuff just to escape reality for a little bit... but I paid my price..

Look at the positive side...you made it through and you're alive. (and you figured it out much faster than I did.)
