In the event that an incumbent President refuses to leave office

What are the Constitutional provisions in the event that an incumbent President refuses to turn over the office to the incoming President? Does the incoming President employ the military to remove the incumbent from office? Would it take an act of Congress?

@InfraBlue,
I don't think it was ever imagined at the time the Constitution was written. A corrupt demagogue like Trump wouldn't have even made it through the Electoral College.

@farmerman,
His term ends in January, he will no longer be the President. He becomes a private citizen. He no longer has any power that anyone will recognize. He will have less standing than even a garden variety squatter.

@InfraBlue,
The military (unlike the National Guard) is not allowed to take police actions in the United States (and people expressing that desire are on a very slippery slope). It is simply a law enforcement action. If someone is trespassing in the White House, the police arrest them.

The WH has its own Federal security staff with arrest powers

@farmerman,
Plus Trump is wrapping up his first term and simply can't stay without being sworn in for a second term. I don't think Justice Roberts would go along with a raw power grab.

That is not true of the federal district of Washington as the military can indeed act within that area of the nation by design.

A masquerade party on the lawn with hookers n burgers n wheel-of-fortune n mini-golf will prove to be irresistible enticement and when he ventures out, bingo the medico della peste will change the locks.
