I just remembered.. Southern Comfort... which is weird being from. The northeast.

What? Southern Comfort is relatively pleasant. Especially with Coca-Cola.

Gold Schlage is the worst tasting to me (Swiss cinnamon schnapps).
Goldschläger ("gold beater") is owned by billionaire William Goldring (sic!).

Goldschläger is a replica of the much older Danziger Goldwasser (egend has it that when King Sigismund II Augustus visited Gdańsk in 1549 after his coronation, part of the city's homage to the monarch was a gift of Goldwasser, and he is said to have sung the praises of the golden drink often along the rest of his tour.)

There are several "gold schnaps" in Germany (actually root and herbal liqueurs, not schnaps).

@Walter Hinteler,
Goldschläger is a replica of the regurgitate from gold miners night of drinking.

Interesting info:

Just curious as to what your opinion is of Goldschläger?

Once I drank some sake. It reminded me of something but I no longer remember what is reminded me of. Could not abide it and needed a bottle of gin to settle my tastebuds.

There was no fancy ceremony and I took it direct from the nice looking bottle on top of my grandmother's refrigerator. Years later someone showed a video of it poured into a wooden box. maybe that helps.

I've never tried it. And don't drink alcohol since nearly 40 years now.

@Ragman,
I don’t like it either. I don’t like cinnamon on its own, it has to be with something like apple.

@izzythepush,
I do like cinnamon but not in my drinks. Can see no earthly reason to ruin a drink with it.

@Ragman,
A freshly brewed apple cinnamon tea is the only liquid I'd go for with cinnamon. And then only as a method of helping open my sinuses.

(never attempted killing a beer, ale, gin, rum, or anything else with cinnamon)

I never got the idiocy of hot buttered run either. If I had a cold the rum was enough.

...and what bozo thought putting butter in an alcohol beverage made sense?

@Sturgis,
Sorry I should have added ‘alcohol-based drink. I drink Harney’s hot spiced tea. Love it!

I suppose I’ve not thought of Hard Apple cider with cinnamon but I’ve probably had it once or twice.

@johnmorgan,
I have also tried Russian vodka once, and it was the worst thing ever. I didn't expect that it is so bad
