Cold paws.

You have a cat that sleeps on the refrigerator? Does she stay up there all the time? I have one that lives on mine. Was wondering if other cats did this or not.

Yep, most of the time (in winter, that is....in summer, we have to move her little bed into the greenhouse).

It doesn't half make you jump when you go to the fridge first thing in the morning, half asleep, and as you are taking out a carton of juice, a paw bats you on the top of the head.

I hear ya. I have a cat rescued from Hurricane Katrina. I thought maybe she had gotten stranded on a high place and now just feels comfortable above everyone. Maybe not though.

Hello, Ellpus!

That's a pretty relaxed & comfortable tabby you've got there! How old is Muriel? She looks like she's been snoozing on the fridge for years! Very Happy

Muriel is about three, we think.

She wandered into my wife's school one day, all skin and bone and covered in fleas (so we found out later).

She made her way into my wife's office, jumped up on a chair and curled up to have a nap.
Someone went out and got some cat food, which she devoured, and posters were put up around the area in the hope of finding the owner, but to no avail.

She must have known that our old cat had just passed away, and thought she'd grab the opportunity of a lifetime of spoiling.

After a thorough de-lousing, a good bath and several hundred bowls of food later, she is pretty content, methinks.

She also thinks that our dog is it's mother!

<sigh>

I love those lost cat finds happy home stories, Ellpus!

And I have a theory that they know precisely who to target! Your wife must have that special look about her, which a lost cat can instantly recognise!

And hey, you've had the good fortune to have Muriel join your household! What a stroke of luck! Very Happy

Xaela,

What beauties you have! Rajah is an absolute hoot! I can just imagine he's the type of cat that likes to play practical jokes?

Thank you all ...

Rajah and the kittens are definately the more amusing ones ... Luna just likes to be pretty .. she's very proper most the time .. but they all make life a little more enjoyable ...

I love that picture of Nisse .. the kittens sleep like Mysan is laying .. I think if the older cats tried that, they'd choke on their fur
