1960 Hurricane Donna in Ft. Myers, Fl. The warning was to not go out in the eye. But we did anyway. We lived on a canal, and the water went down 6 feet, but then it rose 12 ft on the other side of the eye.

True. I lived through several hurricanes and countless tropical storms and blizzards. Zero tornados though tornados have hit other parts of NYC (never personally witnessed).

True. But I was in elementary school at the time. I didn't particularly enjoy it then and have no intention of going back.

Since, I never owned any property? No. I personally never had a tree blown down in a storm. But living in the Northeaster part of the US? I have come across many storm fallen trees.
