@izzythepush,
*My Grandma and family on my Mum's side, were evacuated from Jersey, Channel Islands, to Bolton (Bullock street - large houses). When the all clear was given they were given to option to stay, or go back home. They went back home.*

I have been for a holiday on the canals. Those 'locks' were a heave to get through. Lovely atmosphere though from all the other canal boat owners.

You once owned, or had a ride on a friends motorbike?.

@Bubbles66,
A mate gave me a ride on a bike once. It's not really my thing.

I've known too many people in leather jackets walking around on crutches to want one.

My mil was evacuated to a farm and she hated it, said it was really cruel. The farm, not the oricess of evacuation.

One big difference was that she could go back home before the war was over.

That's about all I know really, she didn't get on well with my wife so we didn't have a lot to do with her.

You have something in your house with an Ardman animation character on it.

@izzythepush,
Shame though about all the disruption in the moving for so many, but indeed very much needed for their safety.

* False. I don't have something with an Ardman character on it.*

You still have something you treasure that was owned by your Great/Grandparents.

*Oo, I liked the spangles. Seems they did bring them back a few years ago, not for long though*

False. I did queue up for a good while at a boutique once, got great bargains in their sale.

You like tea made with a teabag, or brewed with loose tea in a teapot.

I have not. But since I love mushrooms so much. Plus since I love hearing about mushroom farmers converting nuclear missile silos into mushroom farms? I'd like to one day.

Every year, you try and read 2 or 3 "banned" books to spite the conservative censors who try to ban those books.

If you please, stay out of my brain. Thank you very much. Surprised Neutral True.

You were unaware that Saturday the 3rd is the first National Cinema Day.
