Oh, I forgot about this. I think it came to me in a dream last night, but then I forgot it in the morning. Or maybe I just dreamed that I had a dream...?
Anyway, go for it.

Ok, here it is:
((3/7)+3)*7=24
Simple, isn't it???? It was all the time in front of me....but sometimes you don't see an elephant behind a mosquito....

Correct! I'm taking a short break from work right now so I'll post a few more.
See if you can crack dan-e's riddle too. I had a quick look and it made no sense.
The fools and string riddle is also a simple straight math riddle that has an answer, despite what mellowgemini said, and that needs to be solved.
Then mellow has one too, I posted the only answer that makes sense to me but he says there is another answer, I doubt it but give it a shot.

Thank you, sozobe!
Yes, Craven, I saw Mellow's riddle and asked her if a question....so far didn't get the answer. Maybe it all depends on how long is a hair, and how long are 12 hairs...in any other case, you gave the right answer.
To be honest, your riddle needs only mathematical function to determine the "lenght" of a circle, but I don't have time to search for it now. In first case you have the answer, in second fool's case you need to increase the radius for 2 metars. ( I think that you know what I'm talking about, my english dictionary in this field is not good enough )
Going to check out den's riddle....didn't knew it was not solved...

I like your comment about the elephant and the mosquito, Alexandra.
I spent a lot of time saying, OK, 3 x 7 = 21, + 3 = 24, there's gotta be something there. Definitely one of those retroactive "d'oh!" moments.

Okay guys.....Someone is going to have to help me out here because I am not getting the equation.
If I'm reading it right.....I see 3 divided by 7 plus 3 times 7. If I switch the division and multiplication signs it reads 3 times 7 plus 3 divided by seven. I'm still not seeing the 24.
Help.

Rae, you need to use the operations with parenthesis, just the way I wrote it...
look.... 3/7=0.428571428571428571....add 3 and you have 3.428571428571428571.....multiply it with 7 and you'll get exactly 24!

Thanks Alexandra. Guess my anal-retentiveness is going to show though because I don't get exactly 24. 23.9999999999999, yes. Yeah, I know, I'm a party pooper.

LOL.....You're welcome, Rae! Look, the serial of 428571 (decimal places) is endless....try it with calculator, you will get exactly 24!
