Not at all Francis.

Here in South Australia we are exceptionally proud of our "could have been" connections with France.

Having been to France I can say I loved it. And I appreciated the patience of the people I met in dealing (patiently) with my efforts at communication.

I love the French- with the exception of my 10th grade french language teacher. I can't remember her name, but she was from Rouen. She said I spoke french with a New York accent and no one would understand me. When I went to France a few years latter, I so self-conscious of my accent that I would only speak english. I would draw little pictures of napkins and ticket stubbs to communicate rather than pronounce words. Today I can't remember a full sentence in french. Can someone please pass the freedom fries?

Hope you make it to 101.

Francis, I am sorry La Belle France failed in its bid for the 2012 Olympic Games. I was so looking forward to camping in your garden. Blame it on those Brits with their gun boats. Cricket, and that Lord. Crying or Very sad

We begin at a tender age here. By now we are immunized against kissing diseases.

If you actually get to 101 pages Francis, you can dress me up in a striped sweater and beret, hang onions round my neck, and call me your petit Chou Chou all day!

Shocked

Excuse me, do I look like I care? I ask you, what chance did the States have when Hillary Clinton turned up? In nautical terms it was Trafalgar II.

I would also wish to distance myself from the quotes on France by the spokesperson on foreign affairs, to wit Bart Simpson.

However, magnanimous in defeat, I extend my warmest congratulations to Lord Coe and Co and I will attend, providing I don't have to travel to Manchester. Laughing
