On my TV from time-to-time, a small vertical distance from the right end to the left will be removed from the picture. Instead I will see a static'y like appearance.

Cause?

Cure?

I'm not going to be able to answer this. You need to provide context with questions like this.

Example:
Brand and type of television. Maybe year and model purchased.

And by vertical distance, do you mean this? Not sure how that applies to a defective television screen. But mayb the connection actually makes sense to you.

Interesting that mention of connection as well.

How is the set connected? Cable? Antenna?

In that case, contact the service provider.

It might be a loose connection or even someone tapping into your line.
