@glitterbag,
What a voice, but I think we've discussed that before.

Eric Idle for the Pythons (I'm guessing it's the Fred Thomlinson singers backing him)

@izzythepush,
I've been listening to a lot of vintage top 40 and a ton of it is British top 40 - so I've heard this! Heard a lot of other stuff I never knew existed.

@jespah,
The Skids were very popular for a brief period. Last I heard the lead singer was in a documentary about nightmare neighbours. He wasn't the nightmare neighbour, he was the victim.

@izzythepush,
Man oh man. I've also heard more Roxy Music and 10cc than I've ever heard before, stuff like that. Currently have 1976 up. ABBA, Rod Stewart, the Carpenters, and, yes, Bryan Ferry.

@jespah,
I prefer the proto punk that was around then. I keep this album in the car.

@izzythepush,
They've played plenty of them, too (lots of God Save the Queen, a bunch of Ramones, etc.). This one year is rather schmaltzy; there's one on right now which I'm skipping because it is sooooo overwrought. Annnnnnd it's Starland Vocal Band. Heh, not much better.

@jespah,
This was prompted by a bit of Northern vernacular, brass meaning money.
