What is the name of the car commercial where 2 kids are taken to school, one of them says "What's up?" to the in-crowd and one of them compliments the mom's vehicle calling it a "Sweet ride"?
Could it have been one of those Buick ads where people react in disbelief "That's a Buick?!" because the car looks cooler than they expect a Buick to look?

No, this commercial was older. It was made in the 90s as far as I'm aware.
