Would it be possible to have a key at the bottom of the screen that explains the various icons that are used?
I keep thinking I have it figured out (gold and wiggly bells mean new responses on that thread?) but then it doesn't seem to be consistent.
On every page (almost, with the exception of some search pages) that displays such icons there already is an explanation of them. That's why I never got what you meant by this question.

Can you tell I nearly always operate from the search page?
I think I figured out that wiggling has to do with the total number of posts.
Yup, I think it's set to 10 or 15. Probably should be higher.
