I get a lot of questions from family members after I tell them that I am agnostic. This FAQ seems to adequately answer some common questions regarding agnosticism.

By the way I have no idea who the guy who wrote this is (who is Bertrand Russell?). Even so, his ideas seem reasonable enough. He runs the risk of categorizing agnostics, but for the purposes of discussion it seems fine.

Bertrand Russell was a well-known philosopher and a mathematician. He published a famous book of essays regarding the topic of religion titled Why I Am not a Christian.

Here ya go, this'll do for starters; The Bertrand Russell Archives. If you wish to get deeper, I'd recommend his History of Western Philosophy and his Problems of Philosophy. They should be read as a set - not a light undertaking, as they total between them something over 1000 pages of fairly close typesetting. If you're just getting into researching philosophy, Russell is great jumping-off place.

BTW - One of my personal favorites in all of philosophy is Russell's Paradox, also known as Russell's Antimony.
