In the last half hour advertisements have begun appearing at the top of A2K pages ... I bit of a surprise, as they were never here before Shocked ...
BUT their appearance has wiped out the "latest posts" link, which is really really frustrating ...
Hey, what's going on? Confused

The new web host costs more than the old one - the ads help pay the difference.

larry's right on both counts.

I need to make this site support itself so that it doesn't depend on me. Advetisements will help pay for the bandwidth (going up each week).

I will release an ad-free version soon.

The ads don't bother me in the least, but I did like the other links the way they were because it was easier and done with just one click. Now you have to click to drop the menu, then click on the link you want, and then click on go.

I don't know if you guys get a choice, but the red flashing ones are very difficult to look at. It will create issues with headaches. I like them better on the bottom also.

I haven't experienced any missing post as of yet.

Craven
Is there any way you can get the links back to where we can get to them in one click? If not I'll get use to it. I appeciate all your hard work and everything you do for us ;-)

It would have been helpful to have had some warning that the ads were going to happen. It came as a bit of a shock. Shocked
I would certainly never expect you to pay for site cost out of your own pocket, but extra costs were never discussed here ...
Just now I've noticed the links at either sides of the ads ... That's definitely an improvement!

From the day I opened this site I knew that if I wanted it to grow it would eventually cost more and I have discussed the advertisements many times (starting last year).

msolga,

If you meant why didn't I announce that today would be the day for ads it is because I didn't know until now. I didn't know if I could find a liquid design for 800X600 + until just this moment.

husker,

I just saw the red flashing one. I agree that it's bothersome and will remove it from the ad rotation tonight or tomorrow. At the bottom it wasn't so bad but I just saw it at 800X600 at the top and it was horrid.
