How can I get my camera and mic to connect back to Skype on Windows 10?

It simply disconnected after a Windows 10 update, which is odd, considering that both are from Microsoft.

I deleted the old Skype and downloaded it again but still, mic and camera are not connected.

I have a free Avast Virus Protection Software on my computer. However, on my older computer with Windows 10 and and Avast Virus Software Skype camera and mic is connected and works.

What should I do?

maybe you can check the camera's driver,install the newest version
