Hello my name is Yosh, I'm 19 years old and a German citizen. I know usually I should have no problem with getting a working holiday visa. But I read on the page of the Australian Embassy, that I can only get a working holiday visa when I'm in Germany themself, even if you get it in the Internet and I know this is the only way, they will see it in your passport if you have been in Germany when you got the visa in the Internet, and maybe don't let you inside. But at the moment I am in Thailand and after that I want to enter Australia directly. Is there maybe somebody or knows somebody someone with the same problem and can help me? Thank You Joshy
It seems that you have to lodge the application in Germany. You also have to provide a residential address in Germany. You can appoint someone to receive all correspondence on your behalf. Perhaps if you download the form in Thailand, fill it out then send it to a friend in Germany and have them lodge it there you may be able to get one. The only problem would be if, for some reason, they want to interview you. They don't do that with every application.
I think a good starting point would be to email the embassy in Germany and ask them for advice.
