well we have ANOTHER typhoon headed our way, as usual with weather forecasters they say it may or may not hit us (duh). so far the forecasters say that it will pass somewhere between 100 and 200 miles to the south of guam. i recall, and so do many others, that the same thing was said about the last two typhoons which did not heed the forecasters predictions and swept right over the island.

so far so good. the eye of the typhoon is directly south of guam, supposedly at it's closest point of approach. i feel sorry for the people of the island of ulithi part of yap state, it looks like they will be hit tomorrow.

Sheesh...it occured to me as I pressed 'submit', that perhaps my last post sounded a smidgeon insensitive to the ears of someone living in coastal lowlands as a tropical storm bears down on them like a German mother in law. If so, I apologize.

I'm from Vancouver, and here, weather kills you through turning your life into a Ray Bradbury tale where you notice the lover beside you in bed is growing green mould at a visible pace. It's really rainy here. And it gets bloody depressing. People turn, many of them suicidal, as you can understand. There would be a hell of a lot more people leaving their homes and leaping off bridges if the weather was better.

Nimble afoot, and with the strength of a thousand greek olive-pickers, all contention is, to him like...uh... solvents to a person who really likes solvents.
