If the poor among us were not culturalised to accept the social norms of their societies, would christianity have been as active and suppressive as it is?

pab, no probably not....but if the poor were not culturalised to accept social norms...would they be social norms?.....would we have any society?

A society is an institution that is constitued of individuals who are governed by accepted social issues. Hence, let us now reexamine your question?

I guess I'm proposing that if the poor did not accept "social norms" then they probably wouldn't be social norms. (maybe it depends on how you define poor, and what percentage of a population falls into that category)
