Well, I don't know about the 'tries to hide' part. To me it is all the same, a big hearted person may perceive the world with some irony.

Osso, don't you think it ironic that big-hearted Dys is a non-violent anarchist? He supports freewill except for parrot Fred and dog Sally. Hummingbirds get off free, too.
But there is a dark side to big-hearted Dys. He mocks plastic pink flamingos and hangs them in his front yard, just to rile the neighbors.
