Get a college degree: learn how to understand Dyslexia

An A2K poster opined that he didn't understand Dyslexia. Well, that is a common problem on A2K.

So we decided to offer a degreed undergraduate course: "Understanding Dyslexia."

I've started the Curriculum list. Can you suggest an outline for each class? Can you add more?

Understanding Irony with a tad of terse flippancy.

Logic, Dyslexia style.

World history sans list.

Farming for the small back yard.

Great Stetson wearers in history.

Famous red Porche owners.

Outline? Not useful, unless your point of departure is the Insegrevious Paradigm.

Paradigm . . . that word never made much sense to me . . . what is that, like, twenty cents?

Insegrevious and confuliating paradigms
First lesson: Insegrevious and confuliating paradigms

Those are two words you may use to tell the fake from the real. See if anyone nods and pretends they know what you are talking about.

What are the words you use to tell the fake from the real? Dys is an expert at confuliating us.

A course in sports cars is a good way to start, then proceed to Norton motorcycles.

Learning how to be an ace shooter with a rifle, to bring down game instantly, with one shot. Know how to dress and preserve the meat.

Farm for a few years to gain experience in different crops. Grow flowers between rows of corn just because they're beautiful.

Learn to distrust authority in order to remain true to yourself and to bend rules in order to work in the government without losing your mind. This was especially useful in child protection services.

If you have to learn to love and respect nature, just give up right now.

Learn the radio business--oh wait, it's too late, it is a corporation now that has no personality. Anyway, learn how long each song lasts, who the producer was, which bands covered it and the personal history of the composer.

Be open so that strangers come up to talk to you without being introduced first, then make lasting friendships.

Better yet, sleep with him, he somtimes talks....

Shocked

Won't that get a little crowded? I prefer my teacher / student ration low.

As near as I can tell from this course so far...

Backwards means forwards (on so many different levels) that "b" is really a "d"

Get out of that sports car and ride something that gets bugs in your teeth.

Why just grow food when you can grow "useless" stuff like flowers?

Bend the law to make it better.

give up and it will come to you.

It all worked so well until I got to the point about sleeping with him. Then I don't want to know what to make of "backwards means forwards" there. I don't know if I even want to raise my hand to ask.

LOL, Squinney and parados. I don't really want to share; I'm an unabashedly greedy woman.

If you just audit you won't get your BS in dyslexia.

Don't you want your BS?

(can't . . . stop . . . can't . . . )

Tico certainly needs no more BS than he currently has . . .

Hmmm. Wonder if Squinney knows exactly what BS stands for in the various contexts.
