The iPod, MP3 Players, and all their clones; and digitized music on the Internet!

I know this may sound silly to people who aren't much into music, but if you are into music, you must check this out.

It doesn't sound so impressive, just posting it here, but it has revolutionized my personal life quite a bit...

Why?

Because now I can carry my entire record collection around with me in something the size of a pack of cigarettes. High quality hi-fi too!

I know, still doesn't sound that great.

But imagine: 500 albums or CDs, all in a little machine the size of a pack of cigarettes.

You can carry 500 CDs with you in your pocket, take them anywhere you go, without even noticing you are carrying something. Almost as if the music is part of you.

You can dial up any song any time you want.

And the sound reproduction is excellent.

What a trip.

I can have musical inspiration at any moment.

With the endless music on the internet, I can research and find more music and expand my musical horizons more than ever before:
classical, arcane musicals, old movie soundtracks, hip-hop, punk, R&B, jazz, rock, trance, rave, it just goes on & on & on....

so far I've got about 5,000 songs, and counting...

I'll never be able to listen to all the great stuff...

you can find any music you can imagine on the internet now if you are willing to look hard... it is really unbelievable

A farmer here in Norway has invented a way to turn deserts into savannah. He has produced an organic powder that reflects more of the suns heat so that ground temperature becomes over 20degrees lower (celcius). The result is that the ground can keep it's moist and plants are not fried. Initial tests show remarkable results.

And there's no way you can top that Smile

Wow... That really is one of the coolest things I've heard in a while. The science of terraforming. And once again the doomsayers of overpopulation are proven wrong as science overtakes problems.
