One of the funniest parts was "I will wager $10,000"

Why $10,000? I thought that was an arbitrary number to choose.

I'd choose a billion or something. More impressive.

$10,000 makes it sound like you aren't too sure, you're hedging your bets just in case.

And so you're ten times more likely to take it. Clever actually. No use betting if you sound so sure that no one dares to bet against you.
