It is rather possible that Islamic Republic of Pakistan will be the next state for "compulsory democratization" after Iran is defeated. Washington has long been losing its temper about the too much self-willed policy of Islamabad and its attempts to be beyond the control of the U.S.
What shall be done? Let's check the procedure.
First, the U.S. has already extended the support of Pakistani oppositional leaders which increased the number of acts of public disobedience and protest rallies against the Musharraf regime and its politics.
With the intent to decisively discredit the Pakistani leader, the U.S. has concluded a treaty with India for its support in the Kashmir conflict. And they also make Pervez Musharraf known as a leader unable to assert national interests of Pakistan.
I assume the U.S. will nextly call him a 'dictator' who is subject to deposition. Time will show whether he will be deposed by means of invasion of the allied forces under the U.S. leadership or in a colored-type revolution.
US forces are pretty much streched in Afghanistan and Iraq now. There is hardly any chance to invade Iran or NK in the near future.
Plus there is currently no need to invade Pakistan as the US forces are stationed there and US has the President on tight leash.
It doesn't matter whether Pakistan is undemocratic or a military regime with the bomb and funds international terrorists or ignores human rights. They don't HAVE ANY OIL!! Bush Co have no interest in any nation that needs to import the stuff - if you are a net exporter, however.......
