Oh wow, I'm flattered. I was just fooling around, writing a mock-article like that! I aint no journalist I'm afraid. I do read an awful lot of newspapers, so if my little parody sounded real that must be why! Razz

A stringer is a free-lance journalist who is paid by the line.

Like other reputable media conglomerates, A2K doesn't run that many lines unless the stringer is talented.

I'd say you're straddling the fence between stringer and columnist.

you are a writer, and you can write anything. it shows, whether you like it or not.

<say, why don't we abandon all this campaign madness and establish an underground movement? You know, house theatre, virtual universities, horrid sounding music in basaments, all that jazz... let's see what they will do without their campaign managers... huh? you in?>

Um, Dag....<frowning>...I have a better idea. Why don't we have our Welcoming Ball in an unfinished loft somewhere filled with jazz musicians and a '60s theme? I'll drive the Love Bus.

Uh - oh. Sorry. That must have been the Plum Brandy speaking, obviously I didn't have a clear head.

I went ahead and purchased some of the vehicles for campaiging like we talked about. Here are some of them:

YES! YES! We will need MANY Love Buses to hold all the people voting for us!

Those are fabulous, Dag! WOW!!! Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation

In keeping with the theme, I'm going to have Leonard Cohen and Randy Newman playing on my bus. How 'bout you?

UNSOLICITED MESSAGE FROM A LOVE AND BEAUTY SUPPORTER.

Reads:-

"To whom it may concern, I would like to send a message of support for the Love and Beauty Party, and can confirm that I have been a supporter of theirs since leaving the American Supermodel Academy six months ago.
I have tried all of their products, and have followed their wishy washy liberal self improvement regimes and have never felt better. The change has been phenomenal and I would like to thank them. Good luck with the forthcoming election.

We should organise some after-hours post-campaiging event party thingie! They've got some nice-looking "catacombs" basements by the canal here ... with exits onto the wharf, spray sand on it so we have a nice little loungy beach in the sun, DJ playing...
