Im askng this on behalf of a friend

Whilst in Brazil of February of this year we went to a local village street carnival.
Lots of songs were being played and lots of children and teenagers were doing specific dance routines to each song.Im trying to find out what one of the songs was-all I can tell you is the word 'Tomar' was sung alot in the chorus.Possibly this is the name of the song? Its also a possibility this is a carnival song as we were there during a carnival.

Most probably it's a matter of accent on the sylable before last...

The song could be this one :

Tomara Que Chova

(Paquito/Romeu Gentil - Gravada por, Vocalistas Tropicais)

Tomara que chova,
Três dias sem parar,
Tomara que chova,
Três dias sem parar.

A minha grande mágoa,
É lá em casa
Não ter água,
Eu preciso me lavar.

De promessa eu ando cheio,
Quando eu conto,
A minha vida,
Ninguém quer acreditar,
Trabalho não me cansa,
O que cansa é pensar,
Que lá em casa não tem água,
Nem pra cozinhar.
