How to cure brace soreness after getting them tightened?

Just got my braces tightened and they are VERY sore! Any ways I can reduce the pain? x

Have you tried ibuprofen (i.e. advil)?

Get calcium pills (Tums). Calcium controls sensitivity to pain. You can close your eyes and the dentist will wake you when he's done.
