Lady J may not join, because she used a cool word, and she did it casually, like she didn't even realize she was being cool.
She's casually cool, which is the worst kind. Anyone who joins this club in order to be cool is wanna be cool, which is okay, so membership in the club does not automatically disqualify you from the club itself.
Lady J can still hold an office in the club, but it will have to be unofficial since she's not a member. She'll be in charge of deciding who is too cool to be a member.
