By inserting plus or minus signs in the sequence of numbers, make a
mathematical expression equal to 100. What is the minimum number of
signs with which a solution can be made?
987654321=100
Here's a not necessarily minimal solution:
98+7+6-5-4-3+2-1
Here's a slightly better one:
9-8+76-5+4+3+21
And a better one:
9-8+76+54-32+1
I think this is as good as it gets.
