Mold on construction materials?

Hello. Our contractor installed a couple of beams while renovating a basement. When we looked at them today, there are areas on both of them that have patches of black fluffy dots. They are dry to the touch. I’m concerned thar it can be dried black mold. The beams already installed. What should we do? Thank you!
