Be honest and say the first thing you see when you look at this...
GODISNOWHERE
what do you read?
God is now here was the first thing I saw. It took me awhile of looking at it to be able to see anything else in it.
thats what I first saw
But the other thing people will see first is
GOD IS NO WHERE
Why do some of us see one thing - and the rest see something else, do you suppose?
I saw GOd is no where.. but now I see the other thing
for the same reason some people see the cup as 1/2 empty supposed to 1/2 full!
I think a lot of it has to do with how you normally read.
I read quickly which my understanding from studies of speed reading is I look at phrases as a whole. That means I see the "where" starting from the back of the sentence as the first recognizable word. A reader that always reads from beginning to end would see "now" first.
That's my 2 cents. Now get that half empty cup out of here.

Not true. I am not a pessimistic person and I saw God is no where first.
Oh, and for the record I saw GOD IS NOWHERE.
It would be interesting to see if atheists saw it (as I did) as god is nowhere - and theists as god is now here.
One might postulate that agnostics would see it as 50/50.
I think Parados has a point. I learned to read quickly after years of too much schoolin' and I saw the word "where' first by seeing the letters as a whole.
I think that Prospero is right also...

so are you saying that the optimistic view is God is no where?
yikes, all I saw was "existence preceeds essence" did anyone else see that?
You are a deep man, Mr Lexia.
