WHEN WAS THE NAME JESUS INSERTED INTO THE BIBLE?
There are apparently some ancient scrolls that suggest that somebody changed the spelling from the original "Bob"
I mean, you would, wouldn't you.

Jesus, Yeshua, and Joshua are almost certainly all variants of the same name.
gunga, check out the link I provided.
My understanding is that Jesus is a English version of the Hebrew name, probably put in the Bible when the King James translation was made. I bet it was in use before it made it into the English Bible.
My name is Joshua... BOW BEFORE ME! YE OF LITTLE FAITH!
BTW wasn't Jesus also called Imanuel (spelling?) meaning "God is with us"?
As all was created by the spoken word, before and after the spoken word, the sound of his name is as it was when he was named.
