You know the drill, kids. What are some songs which should have been more popular than they were? These can come from obscure bands, or can even be deeper album cuts from some of the most popular acts around.
Speaking of which, here's my first nominee, World Turning by Fleetwood Mac. Why this one didn't get more love, I don't know.
Hall & Oates had a ton of hits. This catchy song wasn't really one of them.

I don't know how obscure this may be, but it is my favorite post-Beatles song, and I think it captures the nostalgia so well.

Real gem from the late sixties. Something of a hit on just budding FM radio, adored by critics and knowing fans, but never made the cut for "classic rock" programmers in the later decades. Pity. Once made a list of 100 greatest rock albums ever.
I think they were from the UK and had backed up John Mayall.
At 13 min long only the album oriented fm stations would play it.

Procol Harum is most famous for "Whiter Shade of Pale," still being covered 50 years later, and by performers as diverse as operatic soprano Sarah Brightman and New Wave diva Annie Lennox.
But my favorite by them, although a modest hit at the time, is largely forgotten outside of die-hard fan circles . . .
