For just a bar band they were pretty damn good.

Here's two from a Brit folkie whose album I picked up out of the bargain bin in the late seventies. Never regretted it a bit, just think it sucks she never went anywhere, (at least in the USA). Over there it was called Marian Segal and Silver Jade, I think.



This second one Marian Segal wrote has been recorded by others as well, but no big hits for anyone, unfortunately.

Although not entirely forgotten, this song from Simon and Garfunkel's 1966 Sounds of Silence album was a favorite of mine when I was a kid--very likely because I was a kid. It is Paul Simon's anthem to adolescent angst.

Michael Martin Murphey had a minor hit with Wildfire. But this is the song of his I heard at summer camp.
