I checked it out and can't believe that these companies are allowed to be that close to the public.

LOL! Most of the residents like it that way, I think! They hate rules and regulations.

In the states, there had been a number of "class action" suits that have been successful in causing changes in industrial practices at going sites that were located in urbanized areas. The topic comes under "Environmental justice"
the law has stated that you cannot diminish the value of property or quality of life by substantially changing ones type of business. It had gone on for years like at Kalgoolie, but sooner or later the folks who lived at an area took the law into their own hands and initiated the suits. (Much to the embarrassment of the responsible Reg Agencies)

I sent a message to the minister for all the good it will do. I'm sure if you sent a message of praise you'd get a response.

Seriously though. I didn't mention Kalgoorlie specifically in the message. I just sent them the link to the photos. So someone has at least looked at the site. They may surprise us.
