In one year, Jamie will be three times as old as she was 19 years ago.
How old is she now?
x+1-19=x/3
x-x/3=18
3x-x=54
2x=54
x=27
No ?
i was thinking she is 29....
maybe i'm wrong
anyone else have a guess?
Yeah, 29 it is. I misformulated it
what is the answer and logic
x + 1 = 3 * (x - 19)
x + 1 = 3x - 57
-2x = -58
x = 29
