How many posts do you have to post before the PM service becomes available. [I've just joined/10posts] - Don't tell me theres a long way to go Crying or Very sad It would be great if you could post any info if you need more than just posts to PM members.

Thankie

Raener,
Have a look at this Post

There are a few other post concerning when one can use the pm service.
I think we have firgured it somewhere around 500 post or somewhere around that.
Along with possible length of time that you have been a member,

I will say that I visit a few other help sites with the pm service available and I find it to be a pain ( If your the one doinfg the helping ) The idea of the forum is to post your questions and someone will reply hopefully your problem is resolved, and others having the same issue may find a soluation.

I typically spen my time in the computer, Internet and general forum and to be honest with you have found the need to use the pm service only a couple times,,
This is a very open group here at A2K some pretty much most everything is discussed in the forums,

Hope that helps,

BTW
Welcome to A2K.

Thanks alot for the welcome.

And thanks for the link and the info. I know PMing does have its cons but I was just wondering on how it works.

Thanks again!

Raener - Welcome to A2K! Very Happy

The way PMs work, is that a member may write a note to a particular person, which is not seen by the rest of the members, as they are on the forums.

In the past, there were problems with people who had never posted, but used the PMs to spam members. These people did not really want to be members, but wanted to use A2K for free advertising. Evil or Very Mad

The rule disallowing the PM function to new members took care of that problem.
