All the pictures are nice - cj gearing up for the possible invasion
of ants, wandel's daugthers Annie and Katrina, and all the nice blooming
trees, flowers and areas of Scotland, Germany and Kyoto.

Wow, cycloptichorn, your gf is absolutely stunning!!
You ain't bad yourself, especially in the Napster pic.
Yeah, she's hot. I tell her so on a regular basis. Smart as a whip too.
She just got accepted for grad school at the Wright Institute @ Berkeley, so we are going to move there together. I hate to leave Austin, but I love her and don't want to lose her.

wow, so he's hot, he's caring and devoted, he's smart, he's fun... why aren't there any such specimens in my vicinity? life...not fair!
I'm sure there are plenty of guys at least approaching cyclop's awesomeness in this area, but they won't come to our kitchen without an invite.

yeah... like i said... life...so tough and unfair...
Want to hear something funny? I'm a good boyfriend because when I was younger, I read a lot of books, had bad acne and was a big nerd.
I never thought women would want anything to do with me. I was just so different from all the guys that the girls seemed to like.
So, being the nerd I am, I started to research. I read books by women authors. I noted how they treated their male charcters, how they described them, what they wanted from them. You can really tell a lot from the way someone writes, yaknow? I studied women like a science. I learned and applied that knowledge to the best of my ability.
And it paid off when I got older. Now all those guys from back in the day who seemed so cool just seem like a bunch of dickheads who never knew how to treat women and will never understand why their relationships aren't the way they want them to be.

I was also a klutz when it came to women in my youth. I was also one of the dumb guys on the block, because of my shyness and inability to converse with the girls.
Then, I met this guy in the US Air Force when I was stationed at Walker AFB in New Mexico. When he got his discharge, he told me to consider moving to Chicago if I didn't have any plans after my discharge, so that's what I did. He took me under his wings, and treated me like a brother. He had money, while I barely had two dimes to rub together. He was my benefactor, and taught me to play golf, dance, and date girls. I came out of my shell.
To make a long story short, I married an intelligent woman. She was being pursued by two doctors and an engineer, and I was still struggling through college. She picked me. Her parents were very unhappy.
We've now been married for 43 years now, and raised two good sons. I've had a productive and happy life ever since we met.
Just goes to show, even late bloomers has a good chance at winning over a good woman.
well, there's two good women right here waiting. ok. we may spend way too much time in our kitchen behind the laptops, invisible to outer eye, but but but...
actually, we had very pretty boyz over for dinner last night. and smart and down-to earth. but, as such boyz go, one is moving away, other is taken... life..so tough.
CI, how could you be a late bloomer AND have been married for 43 years.

Tha man is a wonder, in more ways than one.
(Still trying to digest Cyclo's bombshell of personal information.)
littlek, I married when I was 28 years old.
I am currently away from Kyoto. This is an image taken in a local city (Sendai) in Japan today.
It's sunny this morning, so I had another go. Unfortunately, the cherry blossom doesn't last long enough....
