Well, at least I know what you look like now, Heph. Sorry you'll miss Chicago, though. I was looking forward to meeting you in person. Sad

URS
there was an EarthDay Celebration here in Spokane, WA yesterday and one of the big events was all sorts of ethnic dancing - I now have a new camera so I told my daughter to use the old camera like it was her's and so she took a few small movies and I spliced them together fo that about 30 second play - you get a pretty good idea of the event.

We have a group here in Balingen doing old local dances. They have an international festival every year with groups from various countries. This year it will be groups from Bulgaria, Ghana, Austria, Sweden, Spain and Ukraine. They also have a very close connection to Japan so we had Japanese dancing on our main square in our little town. I love it!

Lovely pictures, husker. The two kids are just adorable, dancing
in their Spanish attire. Gosh, and it must have been quite
warm up there, everyone has short sleeves and the sun is
shining bright.

urs, please make pictures the next time, or better, a little
video. Wink

Our Balboa Park in San Diego has little international houses
of almost every European country and every Sunday, one
of the countries has a program with dancing, national dresses
and good food. The "House of Germany" sells Apfelstrudel
en masse, and the Bratwurst with Sauerkraut is good too.
