I'm playing with some horse pics I took years ago in Italy. I love the fuzzy, watercolor effect of them. What of the cropping? Closer? Should the man be edited out of the first one?

In my humble opinion, I would edit the man out of that first shot. He doesn't add anything to it.

The tough part comes with what to do with the rest. Where to place the horse within the remaining frame?

The 3rd shot is superb.

'k', I'm certainly no expert and am learning all the time.

See if THIS is of any help.

So, I guess this means you won't be chortling, chuckling, guffawing, cackling, crowing, whooping, or snickering any time soon then? Laughing

Yeah, I remember the rule of thirds - well I sort of do. I like the image without the man, but also like that the man is less focused than the horse and he has on blue. I guess he'd have to go if I made a triptic.

Perhaps if the man had been more to the forefront, off to the side, and out of focus?

Reyn, yeah, I guess I knew he had to go. The first crop I did I'd taken him out.

Angelique - where's the horse poem?
