The third picture is indeed a glamour shot. I hope you
enlarge it and frame it.

Soccer day in the neighborhood today
A few observations. The game hasn't started yet - there are no corner flags. I think I count only six players in dark blue. Players on the same side as the parents - not a competitive league but a recreational league. It appears that the other team is wearing light blue jerseys and black socks, as compared to dark blue with black. If I were the ref I'd tell the home team to change into their light colors or wear pennys. #13 needs to tuck in his jersey. Is that Husker in red? Is that kid at front left wearing a kilt???
I love soccer.

Might be halftime. No corner flags is a sure sign of a rec league. I suspect smaller than regulation field, therefore fewer players ... I'd guess 6 v. 6. The kid in the light blue is too far away, and from the position of the goal he's near, I suspect he's on an entirely different field. Number 13 does need to tuck in (at least until game has started. ) Kid's not wearing a kilt, but probably neon green ... possibly Umbro shorts. Maybe he's the goalie?

I don't think he's the goalie. Wrong color socks and appears to be wearing Cons, not cleats. But we'll see what Husker has to say.

My guess:
6v6 rec league
kid in white sock and green(?) is someone's younger bro.
goal in distance is adult goal and not used in these games.
kid in light bue shirt is on opposing team and his coach is wondering here the heck he's wandered off to now.
all teams have black socks and shorts - only jerseys are different
parent in lawn chair with foot almost on the line has been told innumerable times to move back, but...

Hmm. Out here in the wild west you almost never see black socks on anyone but the ref, unless the jersey color is also black (cool, but hot).

But rec league on smaller field ... probably no AR running up and down to trip over him. But warned repeatedly nonetheless ....
And you are no doubt correct about the size of the goal in the distance not being used by these tykes.

I disagree, those look like U10's to me. They should use a full size goal.

Gawsh. Pictures like that make me want to get married and have kids. Which is insane. At least for now.

Don't do it, man. It'll ruin your life.
Just "borrow" other people's kids like I do. Did you know many parents don't pay much attention to their little ones in public? You know, turn their backs for minutes at a time, not paying any attention?
Oh, I'm sure those of you with kids love my sense of humor. Actually CJ, very cute kid.

FINALLY! 3-0-1 this spring!

Yes, it's the same with pets. People are very laid back about leashes and such, until they learn about the animal sacrifices taking place on the local bike trail.

Joe, do you live close to the border?
The border wall is about 1km from me (I live close to the beach too), I need 10 minutes to get to the border line though.
