oh no, actually she's very petite, no match for a maine coon.

the vet says she's got a little persian....she just showed up at our door one day, already fixed...that vet said she was a year old at the time. We tried to find the owners, to no avail.

She wanted to stay with my husband, she used to be very jealous of me, never being mean, but always wanting to get between us and closer to him.....now, we're like two mistresses living under the same roof....it's all very civilized.

hey, I'm starting to get the hang of this hosting business.....here's one more, the corner of the library.

There's two little steps leading up to it, and the sofa is maybe 15 feet behind me. This wall is the only red one, one side of the room is a toned down gold color you can see below the window, the other side of the room is bronze. Looks brownish until you look from an angle, then you can see the greenish cast.

I'll have to take more of the other side of the room, I'll also post shots of what it looked like before....

Hey, Roland looks just like my Essa! Of course, he is gorgeous. Jez looks like a cat with some 'tude. Gotta love it.

It's a little eerie how similiar that room is to one that I decorated. Obviously, I like the taste.

Oh Thank You Flushd, really....

This house started out as a total wreck, and my husband put so much work into it expanding and improving and making it strong....took about 2 years because he worked on it when he could....I'm so proud of him.

As far as the interior, we had rented a storage space since we always had things that had to get moved out, to make room for work and workmen.

To be honest, the only thing we really went whole hog on as far as cost was the actual living room furniture, and the carpet. I have this thing about carpet. outside the living room area it's all tile, and the bedrooms are just regular day to day carpet.

Anyway, the actual furniture we bought and kept in storage for a year. I knew if I didn't get it when I saw it I'd be kicking myself the rest of my life....I kept fabric swatches in my car, and whenever I saw something cheap, but didn't look cheap, out would come the swatches. I'm talking $10 dollar lamps and those pedestals there...they were really next to nothing, and I faux painted them.

Maybe I was a decorator in my other life.

OK, now I'm pyched about showing the rest of the house....might take some time though to get the pictures posted.

You know, I sit in that chair to read, and I'll just have to say to myself, "this is the life".

My daughter was in town for a girlfriend's wedding. She was reunited with her two "little brothers". Jeremy is 20, Katrina is 23, and Nathan is 17.
